This course is designed for authorised yellow fever vaccinators who need 3 hours of yellow fever specific CME/CNE to renew their authorisation as a yellow fever vaccinator, in accordance with the requirements of the New Zealand Yellow Fever Policy.

It also provides an introduction for registered nurses or authorised vaccinators administering vaccine under standing orders or prescription.

Prerequisites

You are a health professional and have a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC), or a health professional in the process of gaining a current APC.

• I am a Medical Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner with prescribing rights OR
• I am a registered nurse or an authorised vaccinator.‍

Course modules:

• Yellow fever international regulation and policy
• Yellow fever disease, epidemiology, and risk to travellers
• Yellow fever vaccine and administration
